All children have gone through the phase where they feel that their parents cannot understand what they are going through and they feel as though they are being held captive because their parents do not give them the freedom that they long for. So there are a few responses that children do when their parents discipline them such as throwing a fit, rebelling against their parents by doing all sorts of misdemeanor, or ignoring them and shutting them out. I believe that a Christian's central character which motivates him to do good to those who hate him, to bless those who curse him, and to pray for those who mistreat him is due to love which was embodied by Jesus and transcended all boundaries. Being Christian means that we need to know how to love and that we love others just as God loves us, just as Jesus loves us. Jesus loves us unconditionally and when He died on that cross so that we may be saved from our sins if we believe in Him, He thought of us and poured Himself out lovingly. It is such a comforting thought and I think we need to constantly remind ourselves and meditate or reflect upon Jesus and His love for us especially in those moments when we feel so troubled. It will give us the strength that we would need to face our struggles and to overcome because if you believe that Jesus is there for you and He loves you, all fear will fade away. A week ago, we had our midterm exam for our marketing management course and it consisted of two parts: a multiple choice test and a case study. The multiple choice was easy enough but tricky since a lot of the questions always came down to two similarly good answers. Needless to say, it was the case study that bore the most weight for the exam and I was quite nervous because I never considered myself a marketing type of person. The case study slightly surprised me not because I did not know the answers but that it was really quite a practical one since our professor gave us a product to assess, for free. In this anime, Nishikata finds himself in a losing battle against Takagi, his seatmate who likes to playfully tease him to see his funny reactions. So he tries to come up with the perfect plan to win against and get back at her. However, time and again, he finds himself being outwitted and outplayed by Takagi causing her to poke fun at him even more. He also often gets in trouble at school because of Takagi’s antics. So will he succeed in his quest? There is something refreshingly nostalgic about Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san. It makes you want to go back to your younger days and relish the sweet moments of youth.
