All children have gone through the phase where they feel that their parents cannot understand what they are going through and they feel as though they are being held captive because their parents do not give them the freedom that they long for. So there are a few responses that children do when their parents discipline them such as throwing a fit, rebelling against their parents by doing all sorts of misdemeanor, or ignoring them and shutting them out. As we near the celebration of Holy Week, let me draw you upon this thought: the Son of God who justly sits at the right hand of God the Father in heaven came down into a sinful world and showed us His love by laying Himself down at the cross so that our sins may be washed through His blood. I believe that a Christian's central character which motivates him to do good to those who hate him, to bless those who curse him, and to pray for those who mistreat him is due to love which was embodied by Jesus and transcended all boundaries. Being Christian means that we need to know how to love and that we love others just as God loves us, just as Jesus loves us. Jesus loves us unconditionally and when He died on that cross so that we may be saved from our sins if we believe in Him, He thought of us and poured Himself out lovingly. It is such a comforting thought and I think we need to constantly remind ourselves and meditate or reflect upon Jesus and His love for us especially in those moments when we feel so troubled. Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) For many people who are aspiring to study or work in Korea, learning Korean is a must. It helps you have an easier life in Korea. A week ago, we had our midterm exam for our marketing management course and it consisted of two parts: a multiple choice test and a case study. The multiple choice was easy enough but tricky since a lot of the questions always came down to two similarly good answers. Needless to say, it was the case study that bore the most weight for the exam and I was quite nervous because I never considered myself a marketing type of person. The case study slightly surprised me not because I did not know the answers but that it was really quite a practical one since our professor gave us a product to assess, for free. Should Children Always Obey Their Parents?

I'm not advocating for children rebelling against their parents because that's a clear violation of the command, but it's very easy to abuse authority when you simply quote the Bible without studying the proper context and thinking it through logically. Again, I believe that children should obey their parents, but I would like to talk about the exceptions and other possible scenarios when children don't have to obey their parents.
