Personal Quiet Times with God

Remember that it is only God who knows every single detail about our lives and only He can give us the best things in life. I have found peace in God's presence and I find excessive joy when worshiping God.

Love. God showed us the greatest expression of genuine love through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. God is love and He overflows in His love for us.

We have good things waiting for us with God but these things do not appear in a snap. They are the treasures that we seek from God and when you are looking for treasure, you have to journey a long road, earnestly following the path or the map until you finally reach the destination of the treasure. With God however, the treasures are limitless.

To get to the treasures that we seek from God, we must spend time with God. Learning from God is similar to receiving clues to where the treasure is hidden.

We must listen closely to the voice of God so that we are fully nourished by Him because God's words speak life and truth, they are priceless treasures in themselves.

To hear directly from the Creator of life, the Master of the universe, is an invaluable privilege to have and we must keep His words close to our hearts and follow every word of it.

Having your quiet times with God is similar to praying to Him only you also hear from His Word, the Bible. He teaches us, corrects us, rebukes us, or instructs us to do as He commands us.

He may also offer words of comfort just like when I was reading 1 Corinthians 13 to which I suddenly stopped when I read the passage "Love never fails" and I started to cry because at that moment I felt God spoke in my heart and gave me exactly what I needed.

Sometimes God will also open your mind and allow you to understand His Word to a whole new level of profundity especially when you are able to experience it first hand in your life.

Many things can happen as you spend time with God. As you grow deeper in your relationship with God, He begins to show more wonders to you and give you more wisdom to understand the Word deeply.

You begin to see God working in specific aspects of your life and you will also know God in more specific terms. Your knowledge will elevate to a level that surpasses the shallow generalizations of superficial Christianity.

You can spend time with God at any moment of the day and at any place where you can have peace and quiet so that you can hear from God.

We need to hear from God and we need to have a constant communication with God so our connection with Him will strengthen and so our faith will not easily be shaken especially in times of adversity.

Remember that everything we have and are comes from God and He is the source of life so we need to seek Him constantly in our lives.
