How I Saw The Holy Spirit Work
Whenever God brings us to a hostile environment where we feel so out of place and intimidated, we have to believe that God places us there for a reason. We need to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's work and just dive into it.
I learned from one of my teammates in our mission trip that when God calls us to go somewhere, He has already gone before us and has started doing His work. Being filled with the Holy Spirit, we just need to sense what He wants us to do or where He is leading us.
Then with readiness of feet, go where He leads at the very moment He urges us and do not hesitate. Lift your worries and fears to God and let Him work through you.
I have learned that the Holy Spirit communicates to our spirit through deep convictions. He brings a certain spiritual desire into hearts or makes us notice a certain individual whom He wants us to share the gospel with or sometimes just to talk to.
Then, when we follow His voice, He will grant peace to our hearts and show us the way. In sharing the gospel or having spiritual conversations with complete strangers during our mission trip, I am thankful to God that there is always at least one person who is willing to receive Christ or who wants to know more about Jesus or who desires to share Jesus with his friends.
During those times, I felt that I was meant to speak with those people and that God had prepared their hearts to hear the gospel, to hear about Jesus. I had a fun time speaking with them and learning about their backgrounds.
I am glad to find out that there are many young people who want to know Jesus or who want to be involved in His work or to have relationship with Him but that they just have no idea how. But they have been longing for it and God had perfectly orchestrated everything so that in the right time, He might reveal Himself to them.
Not only was God at work in the hearts of these people but He was also at work in the whole area. There were times when we had been denied immediate entrance to certain places but God proved to us that He is always in control and His plan will prevail.
I saw how the Holy Spirit worked through the problems that we faced because surely nothing is impossible with God. I saw that when we simply obeyed and never compromised, God's favor will be upon us and His grace will follow through.
God was at work in the people we ministered to, He was at work despite the circumstances, and God was at work in us because He was teaching me how to be patient and how to have peace in trusting Him that all will go according to His plan and that it will be an amazing and marvelous experience. And it was! God never failed us, He always shined through, and He never left us for a second.
In conclusion, I think that living for God is quite simple to do. There are no complicated tasks that God assigns to us since He is the one who gave us our talents and skills. It is by His grace that we accomplish His will. Basically, we only need to rely on God's power and plan.
We only need to trust and put our faith in Him and let Him do His work. In the end, God will prevail and all glory, honor, and praise be unto Him because we could never do anything without God. Always remember that we serve God because we love Him and to give Him glory and honor and praise.
We must always be humble and recognize God's full involvement in everything we do. Lift it all up to Him and let Him dive in and do His work.
