Living with Enthusiasm
"Awaken, sleeping soul from the abyss of that weary body and shake off that morose disposition. Life is far too short to waste.
Stop sulking in hatred and bitterness, curling up in a dark, lonely corner as if trying to reminisce the days of youthful merriment.
From your face, I find the sullen thoughts of revenge but you should not resort to it nor should you stoop down to such a level but fortunately, try as you might, you are aloof to the ravenous tactics of such foolish acts.
Let your senses break free from the bondage of cruelty; let your eyes see the beauty of life and your ears hear the melodious voices carried by the wind.
Feel the comfort and warmth of the sun, the coolness of the night and frolic in the meadows of your youth. Release yourself from the prison that forbids you to reach for the heavens, to climb the mountaintops, to delve the depths of the seas, to enjoy the excitement and thrill that life has to offer.
The sadness, the anger, and the pain that welled up in your throbbing heart like thorns stabbing the tenderness of your love and compassion, are all gone. Now, they are as insignificant as specks of dust in the wind."
Youth is not seen in the outward appearance of an individual. It is not in the strength of the bones, the accuracy of sight, the clarity of hearing, or the flawlessness of the skin. But it is in the vitality and vigor of one’s spirit, one’s vision and optimism, and the purity of one’s soul.
Years may pass and all the senses may be numbed yet the spirit of gladness and laughter, like an all-consuming fire, makes the heart jump for joy. Witness the youth in the sparkle in their eyes, the spring in their step, the happiness of their tone, and their wondrous enthusiasm.
I remember those days when I think of life as nothing but a playground. I had not a care in the world. I was master of my emotions and my destiny and nothing was stopping me from doing what I wanted to do. All that mattered were my freedom and my happiness.
Being young is never a question of age but rather it is the attitude towards life and the obstacles along with it. No matter how many years of existence, we are as young as we believe we are. The physical body may rot and decay but the essence of one’s youth is in his spirit that which lives forever.
